Forbidden

This is high blasphemy, apparently. But I don't believe any religion can be blasphemed, since they are all but fictions. Would anyone be outraged if I proclaimed Lord of the Rings but a myth, a story? And then mocked it (I wouldn't, of course. LOTR is excellent.)? I think not, but here we are killing ourselves over tribal myths writ large. Insane.

Now, there's politeness and respect, diversity and all the rest. Which I get. But I will not self-censor or encourage the censorship of another over the expression of an opinion, and my opinion is that Religion IS the opiate of the masses; it drives them insane, and is a tool used by the Pusher Man to control the multitudes. And I'm not afraid to say it. Are you?  If so, ask yourself why.
