Still America

A life goal: Take anything and everything you are comfortable with and look at it from a completely different angle. Upside down, sideways, backwards, slanted, etc. Perspective is the most important lesson.
As far as I've read, there's some debate exactly when the Americas were founded by people. Remember that all people come from Africa, according to current theory, and thus traveled to Asia and on further to the Americas. Lots of walking! Perhaps boats were far better - two rival theories hold boat travel from Africa and Japan prior to land bridge via Alaska model. Who knows if we'll ever know for sure, but with better science and evidence, perhaps we'll get even closer to the truth.

In the meantime it doesn't matter as people will make up their own stories regardless.

The way I understood the debate was that the pro-white people were arguing that they had evidence that humans were on this continent many tens of thousands of years ahead of the Asian/Native American populations. I think it's based on CO2 and cave fires and it's pretty flimsy, but haters gonna hate.

You mean white people were in America before the Asians arrived? Is this Mormon mythology?

Not Mormon mythology: pseudo science fronting as a scientific rebuttal to PC Asian-cuddling attitudes. One center of the controversy is actually Albuquerque. Although it looks like it's been thoroughly debunked.

I love archeological battles.

I was just reading about a solid theory that says Asians came to America well before Clovis via boats that first followed the ice shore than the entire western shore of N and S America.
