An apt illustration of the role color plays in taste. Consider even further if the yellow bottles on left contained lime juice, and the green bottles on the right contained lemon juice. I predict you would taste a limey lemon and a lemony lime in tasting each, even if they were pure samples of lime/lemon juice respectively. You see, your mind is as influential in taste as is your tongue. Color plays a huge role in how we perceive taste, as does smell obviously, but even too sound - the crisp snap of a chip adds to its flavor. To go further, since all external sensation is registered and perceived in the brain, than "flavor" only exists in the mind, and as with many other things, it is only Life that gives it reality. For, what would there be to taste if there were none to eat? Flavor would not exist, just as color does not exist without eyes to see light, and sound only exists with the hearer. Quantum reality, yo: Only by measuring does anything have reality.
Also too, I wonder if this was the Stockboy's error, or someone at Concord Foods "Farm"?
To end - you should try and view mistakes through this prism: It is only through "imperfection" that anything happens in this world. If everything were perfect, than everything would be in balance, and nothing would happen. It's the imbalance that creates change, and change is the definition of time, and time is the river in which Life swims.
So don't sweat it, anonymous Concord Foods employee!

What's Logic Got To Do With It?
"Dividing the Union is Illogical" by Dave Miles.
Logic is hard work, however, and who likes that? Easier to give in, slide down, fall ever further towards the LCD. Blame the Other instead of thee.

Pink Hitler (Fashion Fuhrer)
Behold a monster rendered ludicrous by color. Color, of course, is simply the wavelength of the photon hitting your eye, translated by your brain into "pink". Shorter wavelengths are "purple"; longest are "red". And all the other colors in between. Look at this complicated diagram!
And here's a far simpler diagram that shows the small slice of the overall energy - just at different wavelengths - we call "color":
Oh yeah. That pink hitler picture was from an actual ad campaign by a fashion something or rather in Italy:
The use of English in an Italian ad featuring Pink Hitler intrigues me.

Sex n' Violence
Poor Donkey. :( And poor me - I'll search the internets for interspecies animal sex so you don't have to - and trust me, you don't want to.
But, to the point: Sex and violence - all animal behaviors (including humans) fits into the two categories of sex or violence, and in fact violence is but a subset of the only true category: Sex. Quite simply, we are here to reproduce our genes, and anything else is inconsequential to the genes. The acts leading up to reproduction will be filled with violence or simulated violence, as the genetic testing ground dictates. Think of rams slamming each other in the head, all for the ladies.
But we are not our genes, right? And we, as humans, have the ability to break out of these biological/genetic categories. Right?
I actually don't think so - we only fool ourselves. For instance, and but one example of an infinite amount of examples, I could state that the entire history of the Monte Carlo Super Sport is about sex, and subsequently, violence. Prove me wrong!

Never Mean Any Harm
Regardless of intent, harm is often caused. Thus, one must find a different foundation to judge one's actions - fer instance, it would be hard to justify the Duke Boy's behavior from most perspectives, other than the Duke Boys and extended Clan.

Don't blame me....

Trust me, no one's blaming you. They're laughing. At you. And possibly, thanking you for making it so easy to identify morans.
Also, such a blatant rip off

RIP Baby Hawk
Now, me and my truck had nothing to do this, although my death dealing truck was about 30 feet away -- but it was parked and played no role in the following tale!Anywho, there are many hawks in the area outside my infernal office park -- both rather drab brown ones, and brighter Red Tails, as above. This is a male, and I believe a male was the culprit in the following crime:
Heard a screeching -- looked up to a light post to see one hawk charging another. That hawk flies to another light pole, followed by the screeching hawk, who again charges him. What I assume is the male flies off again to the original light pole, where I can see there is something on the top (I assumed it was food at first). The screeching hawk follows, and attacks again. The male flies off into the nearby woods, and what I assume is the female spreads her wings over the item on top of the light post - and then I see something fall. The screeching is going on the whole time. She flies off into the woods. I then run over to this lightpole (wary of hawk attack of course) to inspect what fell to the ground. Bummer -- a little tiny baby hawk. Dead. RIP little one.
I left quickly, what I assume is the mother returned to the light post, still screeching, as I left. And she continued to screech for the next five minutes, and longer for all know. It was all quite sad, but alas, nature, red in tooth and claw.
It is shocking to us, of course, but this behavior -- males killing babies -- seems quite common in the animal world. It's all about the genes, and it is brutal situations like the one above that should cause you to ask yourself: Who is really in charge of your life? You, or your genes?
I suspect most if not all people would say themselves. I would say, I'm not so sure about that. Consider for a moment the role sex plays in our life, and that is clearly a genetic imperative, and voila! You have the majority of our lives clearly ruled by genetic impulses. Are you so sure it's not your entire life?
