Back in old 1941 the Screen Cartoonist Guild went on strike against Disney and though they won, things would never be the same. But hey, for a while there, Labor did have the upper hand over Management, and most of our gains as a society came from this brief window. It's been closing for a while.
The striking artists at the time kept drawing, but "illegal" work, since of course if Disney does not approve a Disney related drawing - you're in trouble. Hence the rarity of the slightly dirty, amazing work.... below the fold!
